What is air drying?

Inspired by raw diet, air drying is a preservation method that eliminates the moisture for microbial growth without the use of high temperatures. This method results in shelf-stable, highly palatable food, and preserves vital nutrients, offering nutrition similar to a raw diet.

Air drying: Moisture is removed via the process of evaporation. Ingredients are placed into drying chambers, where air is continually circulated, slowly and gently evaporating moisture until a maximum level of 14% is reached. With higher moisture than freeze-dried, air dried diets offer scoop & feed convenience.

GROWTH & REPRODUCTION

  • Puppy size: up to 50% of predicted adult body weight: Feed 2 X the adult amount for current weight.
  • Puppy size: 50-80% of predicted adult body weight: Feed 1.75 Xthe adult amount for current weight.
  • Puppy size: 80-100% of predicted adult body weight: Feed 1.25 X the adult amount for current weight.
  • For Gestation provide 1.25 to 1.5 X the adult amount, and for Lactation provide 1.5 to 4.5 X the adult amount (depending on litter size and week of lactation).

TRANSITIONING

It is important to gradually transition your cat from one food to another. Start with a proportion of 25% Nutrience to 75% old food. Slowly change the proportions over the next 5 to 7 days by gradually increasing the amount of Nutrience and decreasing the amount of the old food.
